What is Truestory?
At Truestory we connect hotels and experience hosts with customers that value great experiences. Our mission is to make it easier to try something new together with somebody you enjoy spending time with.
We are based out of Aarhus, Denmark, but have teammates all over Scandinavia and the rest of the world.
Our story
Truestory started as DuGlemmerDetAldrig.dk (DGDA) in 2012. Created as a sandbox project by Lasse Kjær and Lars Rasmussen in collaboration with Novicell. The experiment was to create a online platform that could deliver a different service and product to the experience gift industry. Later we added our customized booking engine to the platform, make Truestory what is is today – a experience marketplace that sell experiences both as gifts and as direct booking.
In 2021 we changed name to our Norwegian name Truestory as a part of our Scandinavian strategy. Truestory became a part of Smartbox Group in 2023.
Working at Truestory
Truestory is a hybrid company with team members from all over the world. The corporate language is English. Our goal is to build the best product in the market for our hosts and customers. Everyone at Truestory contributes to the development of our product through our product framework, ‘Outcomes.’
